VS XL Pro - Problem with black bars in fiash files

Post by andy_south_uk »

I am currently trying to produce a flash file from my edited project which is from an HDV widescreen source. I can select the 640x480 flv option and the flash file produced contains the widescreen video with black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. Fair enough as this is a 4:3 ratio.

I would like to create a flash file with just the widescreen video and without the black bars. I have tried selecting different frame sizes from the custom options without success. Also I notice that there is a "Display aspect ratio" box in the Video Save Options General tab that is greyed out with 4:3 in it. Is there a way of changing this to 16:9.

Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Andy

I don¡¦t use VS X2.

But:-
From Share Create Video file, if you select ¡¥custom¡¦ there should be a choice for FLV.
On this window should be an ¡¥Options¡¦ button
Normally you can change/edit compression settings.
