Spinning Cube - Debugmode Wax

Post by lotus »

I was working on a baby shower video and was searching for a "spinning
cube" transition without having to use a difficult application to make
6 sides and make it rotate. I wanted a baby ABC block that rotated.
I stumbled upon a free standalone application called: DebugMode Wax

http://www.debugmode.com/wax/

With this application, I simply dropped my pictures or video onto
time line, drag cube transition, and a transition cube was easily made
with a few steps. Easily imported into videostudio. Here is a screen shot.

This application has hundreds of transitions and presets. I was amazed
at what this free standalone application can do. It has alpha channel,
2D, 3D special effects, etc. I just found it yesterday and haven't had a
chance to explore other features.

Rendering was a little tricky - what I learned was to save project as
a wxp file, exit wax and then restart wax, open project and then render
as avi. Check settings before rendering such as if you have video and
audio or just video, etc. I didn't have to worry about the codecs - the
program rendered beautifully. :D[/img]
