I installed New blue "Motion blend" effect. When I click on the menu while inside VS 12 the menu jumps to title.
I deleted the folder from Program files and reinstalled but to no avail
Any idea why this happens
The other new blue effects work beautifully

To use a new folder in filters or transitions you must delete or better rename another third-party-folder. Go to the vft-plugin- oder vfx-plugin-folder on your harddrive and rename another third-party-plugin like *.vft into *.vftx. So VS do not recognize this effect. You must also rename or delete the folder "12.0" under "own files" (I don¡¬t know if it the same like on a german harddrive). VS look for the effects and make this folder new by starting the next time.
Perhaps another meber of thsi board can explain it better.

have a look: www.VIDEO-Intern.com and www.stammtisch.video-intern.com (both german language)
Thank you Georg. I did the same thing almost , except did not install all the effects of new-blue so that I do not exceed 20 folder limitation
Thank you once again for being helpful
Now a question
Why is VS limiting to 20 folders and is there a way to tweak the settings say in an "ini" file

ahhh --- this is exactly my problem! i have 20 transitions categories plus My Favorites. I tried to install the effects packact 3D Transformation today. The new blue effects show up fine in VS11... but in X2 where I ALSO have 20 transition categories plus favorites - when I click on New Blue Effects - it reverts to the Title window. Is this a quirk with VS X2?
can someone please review the work around for this??
If I get what you are saying here, I need to rename a 3rd party effect but would that mean I couldn't use it anymore if I'm using hte the new blue? I have hollywood fx, adorage, burger, canopus video fx - all third party add ons.
this is weird - why would they only allow 20?
Could I put the new blue in the favorites folder? I don't have anything in there? if so, how would I do it?
I want to purchase more of these new blue fx but need to know they will work first.
ok - definitely a quirk with VS X2 that you cannot have more than 20 cateogories of transitions.
I went back to my laptop where i installed one package of blue fx this morning and it worked fine w tih VS X2 - as that was the 19th transtion cateogory listed.
I just downloaded another trial package of new blue fx to the laptop - making it the 20th and it did the same as my desktop computer - when I click on it it reverts to the TITLE window. 20 categories in definitely not acceptable to VS X2.... it can't display the transitions.
So - how do i get past this?
Also - thinking i would take burger transition category out - since I don't use them often. or should I just rename all the burger effect *.vfxx as you were saying here earlier.... this way if I need them I can use them at later time?
not sure how to eliminate the burger category from the drop down transition window withing VS X2 though so that the newblue would be recognizable.
Any advice or work around would be appreciated - BUT THIS IS DEFINITELY THE QUIRK! in Vs11 - no problem to have 20+, in VS X2 - appears to be a problem.
