Is there a way to enter text directly into a preset shape such as a voice bubble?
At the moment I create the bubble, apply text using the text box to somewhere else on the canvas and then have to use the pick tool to move the text into the preset shape.
If I try to enter the text directly into the shape it simply wraps around the edge.
Some books (and even the Help section in the program) seem to imply that it is possible to enter the text directly...but how?
Thanks

I'd like to know what things you're reading because I know of no such way.
You can hide the vector layer of the shape you want to write the text into.
You can just go ahead and let it deform itself to the preset shape, then right-click the text and select detach object from path.
Or you can just do what you've been doing. Adds a step, yes but it works.

Welcome to the forums,
With your Text tool selected, hold down the [Alt] key and click on the Call-out shape. Type your text and it should place it on top of the call out. Once that is done, keeping the Text select, go to the Pick tool, then press the [Shift] key, and click on the Call-out shape to select it. Now select Group from the Tool Options Palette. Grouping the text with the call-out shape allows it to be moved and resized with the call-out.

Ah, yes. Paint Shop Pro for Photographers. The one that didn't see fit to change any part of it's text that was not directly affected by the release of x2.
Where it says in one area about scripting "Maybe they'll change this in version XII."
That one still gets me. But it seems Vidoman has your answer so there you go.
