Made a couple vids using VS 11.5; still have the project files. What type of file do I need to render as to be able to email to a friend? So far, the files are too large and my email system won't accept them Only about 2.5 minuet long vids, 2 each. Quality doesn't have to superb, just in a size that I can send
Thanks!!

There's several possibilities, MPEG-4, (if the recipient has a player installed that can playback MPEG-4), SWF (flash, most all current OSs, or browsers can playback flash content), WMV (if they have a PC they have Windows Media Player), or MOV (QuickTime).
For a short 2 minute video you should be able to get a small frame size, around 320 x 240, and low enough bitrate, where your file size will be under 10 Meg.

Sorry, had to pull up VS11 to see just what it has to offer. You can not render a SWF, but those other options are there. FWIW, there is also an option found in the Clip menu, called Email. This connects directly to your email program (not Yahoo, MSN, Gmail), but Outlook, Thunderbird, ect. However it will only export 1 clip at a time. So for most shortcomings in VS, there's generally a workaround..
To use the Email function, you can simply save your project, open a new project, then insert the project you just saved ( a VSP file), into the timeline. It will be treated as a single clip. Then you could use the Export to Email function.
