I get the following error from PhotoImpact XL when I try to use the "Web - HTML text object" function:
------
Failed to create dynamic HTML component. Please make sure you have installed Internet Explorer version 5 or above.

I have a current version of Photoimpact XL and Microsoft Internet Explorer V6 installed on a Dell P4 (8400) -- XP Professional SP2 -- up-to-date with all critical components.
I can preview the PI web page through Internet Explorer. The provided PI templates open fine in a new webpage. Afer opening one of templates, I can read the HTML text, reposition the object, but if I "Edit HTML Text Object", I again get an error message identical to the one above.
I've sent e-mail to technical support. Only response so far was automated with references to this forum, etc.
I can't find any other reports of this error here or anywhere on the net -- please trust me when I say I've spent more than a considerable amount of time trying to figure out the problem.
I'm ready to throw in the towel but I need this function to work. Please help.
Thank you!

I continue to have the same problem.
I'm starting to think the problem is relative to a critical update to XP SP2.
Can someone verify whether they are able to get the "Insert HTML Text Object" to work on Photoimpact XL installed on an up-to-date XPSP2 machine?
Seems there are a number of posts floating around the net that are either parallel or similar to this one:
<< I have several appications which use the DHTMLedit component which
have suddenly stopped running overnight after Internet Explorer was
upgraded from version 6.0.2900 from 6.0.2800 >>
