One of the unexpected things I encountered when switching to HD, using a hard drive camera that creates digital files each time the button is pushed, is that it now takes a LOT more time to make adjustments using the color correction system.
It used to be that I could make adjustments in the 'master clip' then break the clip into scenes. Now, the camera breaks things into scenes, and I have to make those adjustments to each scene by itself.
In my most recent video, there were 282 clips (although a few were still frames, and color wash slides, the majority were video) and I probably needed to do adjustments to about 200 of them. Many of the adjustments were the same, and a way to copy the settings from one clip to the next would be wonderful.
The same problem was encountered in the audio editing. It would nice to set a global standard of (in this case) -12 db (works better for me, than trying to use the volume control, since there are often internal adjustments within a clip using the volume points).
Having a way to set -12 as the default, or being able to at least copy the settngs from clip to clip would save a whole lotta time.
Probably too much to ask, but it would be nice to be able to adjust basic video settings (like color correction) and basic audio settings without having to switch modes.
These 'minor' things and a recent plaque of the dissappearing track info has me looking for new software.
I'm hoping these issues will be addressed soon enough that I don't have to switch, since I've been using Video Studio since version 8 or 9, and came to Video Studio when my previous editing software began having issues with audio sync. Overall, I like it a lot.
I'd really like to see a way to copy settings between clips

A workaround might be to save your project (a VSP). Start a new project and insert that VSP into the timeline. The VSP then acts like one big video clip, thus enabling you to add filters, effects, etc. to the entire thing at once.
