In June last year I purchased a copy of WinDVD9 Plus online after a trial which I then upgraded to Blueray. My HDD died a few months ago so after rebuilding the PC with new drives I reinstalled a trial version then used my existing serial key and activation code. Now it has not been able to install the patches supplied online (don't know why) and recently it won't HD media or allow me to select more than headphones or stereo. Not good. Figuring I should have bought a retail copy in the first place I went out today and did just that thinking at least I have two sets of keys now and could put one on the upstairs box. However when I install it it does not ask for an activation key and I still can't play HD content and only have stereo audio options. Any thoughts? When I look at the information settings tab in configuration WinDVD has not identified my soundcard or video card (listing information available) I have a Asus D2X and 8800GT. Bearing in mind this all worked before my f******** Maxtor HDD died on me

WinDV9 Plus Blueray installation problems
Hi guys, any ideas on this one?

If your have Comodo Firewall
Completely uninstall it before installing WinDVD (and turn off any AV too)

Welcome to the club. I registered my WinDVD 9 Plus Blu-ray 1.12.2008 already (1st of December) and in my Corel profile "View your products" I STILL don't see anything e.g. "You have no registered products"!!! This is more than 3 months already and counting!eaglemmoomin wrote:Also I can't seem to register either set of serial keys? The online registration appears to accept them but when I look at my registered product list there is nothing there?
I contacted Corel Support already twice and the only response I got is this:
"We are still currently looking into this problem in our website for the registered products that do not appear in customer's account. We have already forwarded this to the development team to try and fix the issue. Kindly bear with us."
3 months and still no correction??? Hmm it makes one wonder: if such a simple issue makes so much trouble for Corel to solve how can we then expect some real WinDVD issues to be solved...
