Disappearing AC3 Plugin( it's wierd)

I was finally able to get my hands on the AC3 plugin for VS8. I installed it and did a bit of testing with good results. All DVDs I tested, the audio converted to Dolby without a hitch. All seemed fine until I used a blank DVD that either my burner or the Ulead burn program didn't like and an error message was produced. After shutting down VS8 and re-launching the program the Digital Dolby audio selection was gone. VERY WIERD!

I tried a re-install or actually a repair of the program, no good, still MIA. I tried a re-install over what I originally installed, no good. Still MIA. I then did an un-install, then re-installed and the AC3 selection was back. Like I said, VERY WIERD! I next purposely used another of the discs that caused the error and guess what, the AC3 plugin disappeared again!

Has anyone else encountered the disappearing Ulead AC3 PowerPack Plugin? If so is there a fix to keep it from vanishing?
