How to copy AVCHD disk?

Post by wingl »

I was able to create AVCHD disks using the VS X2 pro and they works fine.

Is there a way to copy them without using VS?

I tried several DVD burning programs but do not seem to recognize the disk.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Have you tried Nero? I haven't so I can't say for sure. But it can edit and produce (and play) AVCHD so I imagine it should also be able to copy a hybrid AVCHD disc.

In VS11.5, the options to create AVCHD folders and an ISO file are greyed out. Is this also the case for X2?

(must load my X2 one of these days!)

The burn to folder option is also disabled in X2.

I got a Nero express 7 disk that comes with my dvd burner. I will give it a try soon.

Thanks.

I have made a number of "hybrid" AVCHD dics on regular dvds. Nerao has worked for me (Nero 8). As I was making numerous copies of each I created a disc image file & burned that. Of course, this was using a blu-ray burner on PC. I'm assuming that's what you have as you state that you created an AVCHD disc.
