Hello:
I have Paint Shop Pro Ultimate Photo x 2 with Media One Plus 2, Painter Photo Essentials 4 included.
My present OS is Vista Ultimate and I am fortunate to have 2 installed hard drives (and 2 external hard drives).
1) I would like to install theses Corel programs to my second hard drive rather than C:\ drive (which has the operating system and MS Windows Live Photo Gallery where I now have my photos stored).
2) I would like to keep all photos organized on MS Windows Live Photo Gallery for a variety of related use.
I would also like to, if possible, use the organization features of PSPP and also Media One Plus together with MS WIndows Live Photo Gallery (on my C:\ drive).
3) If I understand this correctly, Corel's programs would simply link to my photos that I presently have . . . or would the photos be duplicated to increase space taken on the hard drive(s)?
Although, I know the obvious advantage to having Corel's programs on C:\ drive, I would be interested to know if anyone has used PSPP, etc. on an alternative drive and if any other thoughts with my question(s) could shed some light on the way to go.
Note: It's not that I have little space on the C:\ drive, but, I have a tremendous amount of unused space on alternative drives that I would prefer to use. I do of course understand that photos could be just about anywhere one would chose. It's the setup of programs so that they work together that I am concerned about.
Corel has yet to reply on this, so I am presenting this question to the forum as I expect others may find some benefit to the answer(s) as well.
TIA Happy New Year!
