I had Ulead DVD MovieFactory Plus 6 installed, then, for reasons that are hard to explain, I had to uninstall it. Now, while trying to reinstall it, it won't let me complete the setupl.
I never had any problems when I first installed it, so it sounds to me like there are still remnants of the first install left and that they are comflicting with the new install. Do you have any kind of removal tool to get those leftover file and registry entries? If not, other than the obvious places, could you tall me where to look for Ulead file and registry entries?

Still having trouble
The instructions you recommended to me to successfully re-install DVD MovieFactory Plus 6, did not work. I'm still having the same problem.
Actually, when I first posted that I was having problems, I kind of suspected that I would get a reply back that talked about getting rid of remnants of previous installs, but I had already done what you recommended, and also, always perform clean un-installations anyway!
So my gut feeling still tells me that there is a leftover registry entry somewhere that is causing the problem. And yes I did go to HKEY Local Machine, like instructed to check that. Nothing showed up!

Still same problem
Tried all of that, even before you mentioned it. I'm very thorough!
Results of ScanDisk: Clean, ran SFC and it showed no integrity violations, ran MemTest86, passed, ran spyware and virus scan, both were negative.

Further details
Sorry,
I should have explained further. Basically, when I first installed DVD MovieFactory, it ran fine and burned everything I asked it to, though occasionally I would see a reference to "Not responding" that slowed things down.
Although I can't remember the exact situation, eventually it just would not cooperate fully when I tried to do a burn. It would lock up and show that "Not responding" message. So I just installed it, thinking that a good reinstall would solve the problem. It did not.
In fact, what happened in about three or four attempts to install it, is that I would receive an error message about halfway into the setup that said something to the effect of "setup file was corrupt". However I cannot see how that could be.
When I first installed it, it installed without a hitch. I even tried re-downloading a new exe, but all I was able to download was the trial TBYB file, and I ran into problems with that, though nothing came up about a corrupt setup file.
With the TBYB exe, I was able to at least complete the whole setup, but when I was through, there was no app start up icon that I could find, so I uninstalled that too.
Currently there is no Ulead or Corel product on my computer and I both manually and automatically scanned and removed any related registry entries that I could find.
