error installing videostudio 8

Hey im nazzar I was trying to install videostudio 8 and it threw up this error each time I tried to install it.

Could anyone tell me what is wrong and how I can fix it?
Any help would be very much erm helpful

You most likely have a defective / scratched disk that is generating read errors.

So is there anything I can do except getting a new cd
