Workflow Recommendations

Can someone point me to a good post on proper workflow. I am still new to using Video Studio and am trying to piece together the best way to achieve my finished project. I have mostly worked with ProShow Producer in the past and it does an amazing job of Slideshows with limited video too. I figured I would be better off trying Video Studio now that some of my projects are using a lot more video, as well as photos.

Has anyone used ProShow? Will I be giving up a lot on the slideshow side of things using Video Studio instead of Producer? That's all I'm worried about. Better video but giving up some slide show functionality.
