Messing with audio

Is it possible to merge clips into one clip? I've moved around a bunch of audio clips on the timeline that have been spliced and stuff and I'd like to edit them together as one clip or possibly be able to export them together as one clip. Premiere I think lets you Export Selected Frames/Clips or something. Does VideoStudio have an equivalent behavior?

I am not sure that I have read your question correctly. But if you are talking about 'exporting' a whole project i.e. both video and audio, as a single clip, then with all your editing finished and everything in the timeline, you select Share > Create Video File > and then select the format you want to export it in. For instance, if you intend eventually to burn the clip to a DVD, you would select Share > Create Video File > DVD. If you want to play around with properties like the audio format or bitrate of the video, then you would select Share > Create Video File > Custom.

My question is that I'd like to be able to only export a selected portion of the timeline, be it audio, video, whatever is currently selected.

When in Project mode you simply use Mark In/Mark Out to set the range that you want to output. Then when you go to Share>Create Video File and the Save dialog box opens click on the Options button and choose Preview Range.

Ah thank you. I'm hoping that this program will be a lot nicer to me than Premiere was. Some of the controls seem a little fiddly but I imagine I'll get used to it.
