I'm new to VS and the first project went great. I have a question on the Corel Capture Manager. Specifically, the actions I take and results are as follows: 1) click on "1 Capture" 2) click on "Capture Video" after which two pop ups come up, one that says no device is connected...so I click "OK" and the other pop up that says "A new device is plugged into your computer. Do you want to use it?" The only available options are "OK" and "Cancel", however clicking EITHER the "OK" or "Cancel" buttons have no effect and the pop up menu is forever on the screen and the remainder of the program buttons are disabled...essentially ending that sessions and requiring a CTRL-ALT-DEL to stop the program.
I thought I had seen a screen shot of this on another web page and it showed a "No" option...which would have been logical.
Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

Welcome to the forums,
The second pop-up appears to be a Windows message, acknowledging that it has found a new device, asking if you wish to use it.
Try plugging in and turning on your capture device, and wait for windows to find it and present you with that pop-up. Click yes on it. Then launch VS and go to the Capture step, and see if you can capture..
What are you using to capture/transfer your video to your PC, and how is it connected?

Capture Issues
Thanks for your reply. I was trying to capture AVCHD from my Sony HD camcorder...and subsequently figured out how to do that...though it still doesn't solve for why clicking the capture button would put the sw in and endless loop...requiring shutdown.
I'm now on to trying to capture into X2 from my Sony DV camcorder. I have it plugged in via Firewire cable and perform the following: 1) click on "1 Capture" 2) click on "capture video" at which point a "Corel Capture Manager" popup comes up and asks "A new device is plugged into your computer. Do you want to use it?" That message allows two options "OK" or "Cancel" Even if I don't click on either option, the message disappears after a few seconds and then reappears (seems odd). The "Source" field does correctly pick up my Sony DV device...however the "A new device is plugged into your computer..." message keeps coming up OVER AND OVER AGAIN, even though the Sony DV is the only device plugged in. The Capture Video has a red dot on it, and does not respond. If I click on ANY of the buttons, for example the "Format" dropdown, the Corel border turns green around the screen and the program goes into "Not Responding" model. Any help would be most appreciated!!!!
