How do I do this with chapters?

Post by grahamdvddvd »

I edited 7 pieces of video footage from my hols , each one was 10 mins long, I rendered them all seperate and then burnt then all to disc. When i play the disc it will play each one after another, but if you start at the beginning of the disc and want to jump forward it will not let you i.e like a normal dvd.
I think its because the clips are all seperate not like chapters so to jump from clip one to clip 3 you have to go to the menu and select, i want to just press the chapter buttons on my dvd player ? How can I do this ? I have Ulead 10 thanks

You have to render them altogether in the Editing module as a single project (Share > Create Video File > DVD). Then when you have your new DVD-compatible mpeg-2, you open a new project. Don't worry about a name as the objective is just to clear the timeline. Then select Share > Create Disc > DVD. The burning module will open and you insert your single new video clip in the burning timeline. Then you select Add Chapters and drag the jog slider under the preview screen to the point when you want to add a chapter. And so on. Preview to make sure the chapter points are where you want them, then burn the disc. Your Chapter control on your DVD player's remote should now work...
