Post by katt2 »

:D Hello and ty for any help. Recently i downloaded paintshop pro photo x2 ultimate trial. I have psp x installed and have used it for years.
I noticed that once this was installed on my vista laptop that when opened and i selected the tubes to try it out that the tube menu arrow doesnt apply , i get a black square frame around the tube window and the arrown beside doesnt show dropdown menu. just freezes with this black square box around the tube selection window

using windows vista premium
toshiba p200 1.66 gh intel dual core with
2 gigs of memory

Ati Mobility Raedon hd 2400

I have psp x installed on c drive in corel folder
could this be the issue causing the other not to work maybe
thanks for any help. Kat

I don't think that having an earlier version installed would cause this behavior of the TBYB. I'm guessing since you are an experience user, you have checked the Preferences to make sure the path to your tube files is correct.

Here's one that seems to fix a lot of VideoStudio problems...

Go HERE and download the latest MS Direct-X drivers. The most current is dated November 2008.

If that doesn't work, try doing either a repair install or a full reinstall of the TBYB version.

Thanks so much for replying. I think i wll try this on my xp machine instead of vista. see how that goes. thanks so much for all your help Vidoman.

Update.
I tried this on my xp machine with the exact same results as on the vista. I cant see why having the older version of psp x on here would hinder this install .

I tried installing the direct x but that didnt make a difference.

I tried contacting corell and they wont trouble shoot or give me any ideas on why this is doing it as because its a trial version there not obligated to supply support. I am upset by this as it will be money in there pocket should they help with this issue. its there software. I have purchased all other version prior aswell but the newest i have no luck with. guess they dont want customers that bad and really dont care about customer satisfaction. upsetting to say the least for me.
