DVD Menu Creation

Post by JQ »

Hello,

Using VSPX2 creating DVD menu and added background music cleanly.
My DVD has 3 menus referencing 8 videos / chapters.
The DVD Menus have custom background music enabled.
While viewing DVD Menu if a user highlights Chapter 2 (for example) the Menu background music restarts... same is true for each chapter as they are highlighted... I am trying to modify the behavior of the menu to play the background music without restarting if someone highlights a chapter name.

Thank You in advance.

What do you mean by highlighting? Are you actually making a selection?

Anytime you select a new title or chapter the music will restart.

Hi
I have just created a test menu and yes the music restarts when you float over each menu link.
But it only appears to be when using SmartScene Menus.
A little annoying to say the least.

It does not happen if you choose Thumbnail or Text type menus from the gallery.
Here the music plays to the end and then restarts and plays again, (unless interrupted by the Motion Menu option) or until you select to play a menu.

I may be wrong but I don¡¦t think the problem has been reported before (I tried it with VS 10) so its been like that for a while??????????????
Others on the forum may have heard of it before and help out.
I can only suggest you try the other gallery options.

Thank You for the Very Quick Response.

I will try it out later today using Thumbnail or Text.
As a new user, I was using the SmartScene Menus.

Thanks Again.

I had certainly noticed it before, and always just thought that it was the default way things worked -- which I guess it is. But I guess also that it simply did not bother me...
