No Capture Driver

Post by rward39571 »

Hi,

I just replaced DVD MovieFactory 2.0 with 6.0 to be able to make Blu Ray DVDs. 2.0 had no problem inputting material from a camcorder but now 6.0 says there is no capture driver. Anybody know what's up?

Thanks,

Richard

...from a camcorder...
What kind of camcorder? (MiniDV?, hard drive?, etc?) How are you connected? (Firewire? USB? etc?)

No Capture Driver

I am going through a firewire from a JVC HDV (720p) MiniDV camcorder. I never had any problem capturing standard definition from this camcorder before with MF2, and the Avid program that I use for editing had no problem inputting the unedited footage and outputting it back to tape, both times in HDV, so the problem seems to be that the capture driver and MF6 aren't communicating.

Good! You've got a work-around, and you don't need to capture with Movie Factory.

I think so... and I don't know if there's anything you can do about it, other than use your Avid software for capture. (I was thinking this would need a "work around", and you've already found one!)
