Does anyone know of a programme that does the same as workshop does?

No Corel or Ulead product will. Do a little searching on the competitor's websites to see if any of those are close. Be prepared to turn loose of a lot more cash though...;)

Hi vidoman

Thanks for the info. What a pity such a great piece of software had to disappear. :(

Forget it! Nearly 3 years ago, I started a thread here imploring further development. AFAIK, this thread had more views than any other on any board on this forum, over 50,000 views and more than 200 posts. Similar results on other forums, plus hundreds of messages sent directly to Corel. Result? Zilch! Corel are simply not interested in prosumer software. They are interested only if it is sold by the gazillion. They would rather make a gazillion times 15 or 20 bucks a time that 10,000 times a hundred dollars and to hell with those who want something better than basic entry level.

Whenever I decide to upgrade/update, I'll probably go with DVDlab. (Note that DVDlab is only a DVD authoring tool. It doesn't include MPEG-2 or Dolby encoders, or a burning module.)

I noticed you haven't completed this --> Image so that we can then view your system specifications.

If your reason for asking is because you now find yourself with a Vista Operating System and so find yourself unable to use DVD Workshop 2, then we have various work rounds here:
Microsoft Vista - Work Rounds etc. for older programs
