Import the photos from the CD to the timeline or library...

Hi
From File ¡V Preferences ¡V Edit tab.
Set Default Image to about 12 seconds
Set default Transition effect to 3/4 seconds
From the general tab, Set Use default transition effect as random.
Insert the images to the timeline.
This will view fully for 8 seconds and transition for 4.
Add a colour clip to the start and end
Add titles.
If you wish to change the image duration, select all clips in the timeline , then Clip-Change image/color duration

I"ll add to Trevor's great procedural outline, that you may not want to use Random for the transition default. The album transitions have been known for creating problems, and they may be thrown in.
If so be sure to preview some of the transitions placed into your project. If you don't like what VS has placed their, simply drag and drop one of your liking over it...

Photo CD Slideshow
Thanks the quick replies men.
When I wrote" CD in slideshow mode"
What I meant was that the CD would be playing the images with
transitions already inbetween each one as inserted by the CD software.
So, the issue of inserting them with VS would not be required.........Ken
