With the clip in the timeline, either right click on it and choose 'Playback speed' or else, in the Edit screen, choose the same command in roughly the dead centre of your screen.

Slow motion

Post by rayban »

Hello,

I have a 15 minute clip yet certain parts I want emphasize slow motion, how to I select the beginning and ending of what I want to slow motion for each of those segments within the whole 15 minute clip? I have VS Pro X2.

Thank you

With the clip on the timeline, locate the positions of the segments you need to apply slow motion to, and click on the "scissors" icon to cut the clip at those positions. Now VS will treat each segment as a separate clip, even though the cuts are just pointers and the original file is unaffected.

After that, click on the segments on the timeline, and you should be able to set the playback speed for them from the "Video" controls normally to the right of the preview screen.

Happy slo-mo!
