Anyone could help me with creating titles?

Post by k3v1nlam »

I would like to use title clips between video clips. However, I do not want the title overlay with the video. I only want the title by itself. Say I'm doing a wedding video, I wannna start with the title introducing the names of both parties then have the very first videoclip after that. Or vice versa, at the end of the movie, I wanna do the credits. How could I do so? I remember this question has been answered once but I forgot how to do it. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

To expand on Accolades hint, in the top centre of screen, just below the main menu items (in fact just below 'Share' in X2), is a small dialogue box with the word Video showing by default. Click on the downward pointing arrow beside it, and half way down the dropdown menu is the word 'Color'. That brings up a selection of colour mattes. Drag one of your selected colour to the timeline and drag on its right hand yellow bar to the length you desire. Put your title in the overlay track over that colour.

Sometimes I may assume that the user has had some experience but....

Maybe a small DEMO on you tube?

Titles and transitions?

Post by SomePhotoGuy »

I have a related question, I have been doing this, and I would like to know how I can have a transition between a title and the rest of the movie? I can't seem to get this to work. I can get the transition to work between a solid color back ground and the rest of the video, but the text of the title will not be a part of the transition, can this be done?

No, there is no transition between a title and the next clip. However, you can animate your title to mimic a transition (such as a fade in/out). With your title selected in the Preview Window, click on the TT symbol to open the Title Animation.
