Gang I was trying to create a DVD and kaboom. My PC crashed.
Now when I try and open my VS11 PLUS I get the following error.
"The Application failed to initalize properly (0xc015004). Click on OK to terminate the application.
Helppppppppppppppppp.

I defrag'd with no avail. Still get the same error. This thing had raid and no more raid...Ugh.
Should I just wipe off VS? And reload the program?
Also can I save my files and VSP's? to an extrernal and will the re-install be able to read the files / captures previously?
Anyone?

Yes you can save your files to an external drive, something that I do. What you'll need to do, is re-link to them. The VSP file will have the last known location of the clips, images, ect., so moving them will require re-linking...

vidoman thanks.
I guess I will dump them although I do dump alot of my event video but didnt know the VSP file would take.
I wonder if going to XP SP3 did any of this?
Also how should I go about installingVS 11plus any order?
I have...
1.VideoStudio11Plus-E-Download
2.VideoStudio11Plus-E-ContentPack
3.VideoStudio11Plus-E-BonusCD
4.UVS11_Plus_ESD_ENG_PowerPack
Also does the new Pro X2 program have more bells and whistles then VS11?
Any info would be apperciated.

You install them basically in the order you have, except the Bonus Material does not install, it is just copy/paste stuff, like sample video, image and audio clips, IIRC (if I recall correctly).
There is also an Update Patch for VS 11 plus that should be installed before installing the Power Pack. The Power Pack upgrades you from 11.0 Plus to 11.5 Plus.
It has a few more, such as the Painting on Video, and the ability to use transitions in the overlay tracks..

Before you install the Power Pack (dated 8 November 2007), you need first to install the update patch dated 6 November 2007. Otherwise, that is the order you use.
And yes, X2 Pro has a few more bells and whistles which many of us think make it worthwhile to upgrade. These include transitions in the overlay tracks, some very useful new filters, and more menu templates to name a few.
EDIT: You beat me, Ron!!!

Looks to me like a problem with the Raid controller or one of the discs.

I think it may be a hardware failure. Raid is known to be more demanding on hard drives. Unless I thought I'd get a real benefit from it, say if I was a serious gamer, I wouldn't use it.

Tried to enter my serial number and says invalid. I registered with my PC that I had to revamp anyway to get this to work?

Ok heres what happened.
Since I had RAID set up I was getting those errors...right?
I went and installed basic XP pro with no RAID.
Did a graphics test and bam it did it again. However there were no errors on the event viewer.
So I was closely listening and watchin my system, noticed the Power supply fan lagged a bit. Replaced the Power supply and ran a graphics test and passed with flying colors no shut down.
Well im in the middle of installin VS 11+ and I'll be back with more updates. Whew what a PITA.

The whole cause of my issue was a failing Power supply in the PC.
Now back to work.
