I did post here a few days ago and I sure don't see my post....but then here in Nebraska tonight it is snowing and blowing the temp is about 6 below.......so maybe I am just shivering......
My new computer is about 2 weeks old and I am still getting things the way I want them.
I wondered if I would be able to use Animation Shop or if there was some other program for animation. Many people with Vista says AS works just fine.
Is that right?
Thanks
Don't know where it went

Vista seems to be a crapshoot. Some people can get certain programs to run just fine with Vista, others cannot. Ulead GIF Animator 5 isn't officially "Vista Ready," but some can run it fine. Others have no luck with it. The same is probably true with Animation Shop.
Only way to know if it will work for you is to install it. If you don't own it already, do a free trial, if you can.
Personally, I'm sticking with Windows XP.

We don't have Christmas in December anymore with everyone scattered and whatever. I have 5 kids and 15 grandkids and none of them would be happy with underwear as gifts so we have a summer picnic no gifts just play with the kids outside and visit all day long......so it was a suprise to me when my oldest grandson invited us over for supper Christmas Eve and we had company that night and then yesterday over to a son's for supper to celebrate a little granson that was born on the 25th and they try and get him his own day in the middle of the hubub.....
Myself I like sitting back not doing much of anything. Anyway I had a lot of emails and other things to answer when things settled..
I did download AS and it seems to work fine. I am not a big animater but once in a while I will put a sparkle or something flashy in a tag that I make.
I do like Vista. There are still some things that I would fix or should I say that I would like to be different that I thought would be fixed in Vista but didn't happen. For the most part it is not THAT much different. But I am the only one on this computer no one would dare to touch in and I want to be the boss of it. And I will get around to fixing that soon....
Thanks for you help..

Good to hear Animation Shop is working for you!
If all the software that works with XP worked with no troubles with Vista, I'd have no problem upgrading. But as that's not the case, I'm in no rush. If I get a second machine, then perhaps. But I'd keep this ol' XP box running.
Stay warm, and happy animating!
