Hi all

Is it possible to do multiple video effects on one single clip? Because at the moment I only know how to do one effect per clip.

Im new to all this so any help is appreciated

Are you talking about video filters? You can absolutely add more than one, just make sure the Replace Last Filter is unchecked.

Adding to Blacklab's response...

When applying more than 1 video filter, the order in which they are applied, can have differing affects. For example if you apply a Blur filter, then a Kaleidoscope, the latter will be applied after the Blur. Changing the order the Blur would be applied to the Kaleidoscope effect.

So you can come up with numerous variations just by changing the order of the video filters..;)

Hi

Yeah I mean the video filters :)

What Im after though is not how to combine all the effects, but how to have them on seperately on the same clip.

e.g. (on the same clip) a watery effect is used.............then the video is normal..........then it has the zoom effect.........then the zoom effect stops and the colours are inverted for instance.

Hi
Use the scissors to cut the video clip into smaller clips
Apply a separate filter to each clip.
Use Cross fade effect from the F/X library.

Or you can adjust the keyframes to alter the timing of the effects. However, I think Trevor's suggestion would be easier.
