Where is the Overlay Track Manager in X2?

Post by jmcadory »

I installed the X2 Pro ( new version, not an upgrade ). The first time it ran all of the overlay tracks appeared but no icon for the track manager. The second time and thereafter only 1 overlay track appears and no overlay track manager icon is visible. What am I missing ? :?:

In the virtual dead centre of screen, there are a series of small icons just above the timeline ruler. The third from the right, when you hover your mouse over it, is the Track Manager.

Thanks for the reply but my issue is that the track manager Icon does not appear anywhere on the screen and my toolbar above the timeline does not have all of the icons in the youtube video? You show 5 where I only have 3.

From the right I have the Painting Creator, Batch Convert, Smart Proxy and then the familar controls from prior versions of Redo, Undo and Insert into Timeline etc.

I have been using the product since v6 and this is the first time I have run across a case where a standard control is not visible?

Are you absolutely certain you have the Pro version and not the vanilla VS12 version which I think does not have the multiple tracks, and thus no track manager...? Click on the ? symbol then About VS, and the splash screen will indicate whether it is Pro or not.

Wow, this is not Pro, the box was for Pro and the Book is for Pro but the version does not indicate such nor does the install disk.

The disk definitely says VideoStudio Pro X2. Sounds like you need to contact Frye's.[/b]
