I have installed MF6 twice and have had problems each time after installing the Patch 2 file, which seems to be an almost complete reinstall. Before the patch, I can open the MF program, insert a video file into the first window, then go to the edit window and add other video files (all files are same type created at the same time.) I am doing this to enable adding a transition between the files. However, after installing the patch, I can no longer bring a video file into the edit window, other than the first one that is just the one that comes from the main window. I get a "file mismatch" error saying it cannot open the avi file. These are the same files that open fine in the main program window.
Has anyone else had this problem? What can be done about it, other than not applying the patch, which will result in poorer performance for the program as well as some errors with some functions?

Thank you for the advice. I did try the system restore, but also uninstalled, as it seems like system restore doesn't always remove an application. Without the patch, it seems to be working correctly. I was just concerned that I would not have some capabilities if I didn't install the latest patch, as it seemed to add so much. Does anyone have any experience with this and know if the patch makes a big difference in performance?
