Just got a new computer with Vista 64. I installed PhotoImpact X3 & it opens every time with the registry error:
Failed to update registry system.
Please try using REGEDIT.
I have no idea what to do. Has anyone run into this before? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks, Bruce

Sounds as though you need to be an Administrator.
Not so easy in Vista as it is with XP. whilst you can log on as an Administrator it is a complex procedure.
Next best bet is to right click the PhotoImpact Short cut icon and "Run As"
Once run with Administrator privileges it should clear it.
If that does not work, temporarily turn OFF the UAC (User Account Control) and then run the program. After running it once you should be able to turn UAC back on.

Thanks!
Whoa, that did the trick, first time. I wish all problems were that easy to fix!
