Problem creating Blu-Ray disc

Post by geraghtyg »

Hello

I recorded and edited a wedding for a friend of mine. Shot and edited in HD. Everything went fine until I got to the bit where I create the disc. I selceted my menus, menu music, chapters etc and then asked it to create a folder and burn to disc. However, after leaving it overnight to do its thing I noticed that it had frozen about half way through the process and Ulead was not responding. I had to close it down through task manager. I presumed it was just a glitch but tried it again but no joy. 3rd time and still the same problem. In fairness, this was when I had selected to output to disc from the project. So I created a HD video file and tried to make a disc from that but the problem still occured. I noticed that each time it got stuck that it was creating the motion menu when it got stuck so I tried outputting to disc without a menu and voila....it worked fine. It'll do the job but I'm a little bit annoyed that I could not use a menu. Any ideas of what this could be. Also noticed yesterday that if I click on any of the new blue film fx when editing, the program freezes and then shuts down. I'm sure its nothing to do with the other problem but also annoying as its a great set of effects. Looks like I'll have to do a re-install!!!

Did you try using a different clip for the motion menu?

The video clip I was using was actually the HD video clip of the wedding. Now that I think of it, because I used this clip, it may have caused the problem, as it was almost 20GB in size. I reckon that was the problem. Thanks, if you're right!!!
