program limits

Post by johnmaki »

I've had problems with some programs that allow only a certain number of cuts, cut segments, total length or memory size, etc.
Are there any in the newer versions & what are they? When will I get frustrated with the limits?? Thanks, john

Never hit any limits on anything in VideoStudio - there are some I believe (like 99 menu thumbnails) but any limits there may be are all well above anything I've ever needed - I've certainly never been frustrated by reaching any sort of limit.

basically the limit is the size of your hard drive and the free space available in said hard drive. If you are talking about limits on overlays, VS9 only allows one video overlay to be added to the main video clip
and two Audio Overlays added to the main video clip...is that what you ment to ask ?

but there is a very easy workaround if you want to add more than one overlay - simply render your project with one overlay as a video file - re-import it back into the timeline and add another overlay.

Similarly you can use other software programmes to combine and edit as many audio tracks as you like and import the resulting .wav file into UVS

limit on libraries

Post by Amalthia »

I think there is on how many libraries you can create. After you reach a certain number the new libraries automatially jump to Color....
