Hi ,
This is my first foray into this kind of thing, I have found the Corel and Ulead tech support pretty useless. Over a year ago I paid for and downloaded Ulead Video Studio 11 Plus, which came with a content pack and a bonus content pack. I have several times experienced problems and have had to uninstall & reinstall the program. This has never been a problem in the past. During that time I have also downloaded and installed the USV 11 patch and USV 11 PLus ENG Power and have installed no problem. My version was defineitely 11.5 Plus.
Recently I experienced another issue (it is almost always with the swf flash files not working), so uninstalled, but this time when I reinstall the program it will not allow me to reinstall the extra contents pack, or the two patches/ugrades I downloaded during the course of my having the program. I have noted several other people in this forum get the same message: "Installer cannot find Video Studio 11 on your computer". Any advice would be appreciated.
Installer cannot find Video Studio 11 on your computer.

First the problem with the flash files is due to upgrading your flashplayer for the web. A file called flash.ocx can fix this most of the time. See This Thread or This one for more information on it, or do a forum search on Flash.ocx.
If that does not fix it, you can also just re-install the Flashplayer for the version of VS you're having problems with. It is located in the setup/utilities/flash player folder.
When re-installing VS, did you try a full uninstall/reinstall or a simple one using just the control panel add/remove programs? Please try following the instructions on Reinstalling Software Products found HERE.
If you activated a TBYB (trial) version, then it must be activated before any of the patches, updates, or upgrades will install.

Thank you for your response. Regarding the flash files, I am aware of the download that allows the flash files to play and have done that. The program and flash files work fine for some time, then suddenly they just stop showing. I have no idea why - I do not do anything to the program other than open it to use it.
Regarding the uninstall, yes, I have tried everything, a complete uninstall and clean renstall. Nothing I have tried that was recommended by Ulead tech support has worked.
One point has been missed: I DID have the full version, have entered the product code, serial number, activation code, EVERYTHING NEEDED to have the full program. I have downloaded & installed all patches and updates no problem in the past. It was only this time when I tried an uninstall and reinstall that it will not allow me to reninstall the Content pack (oringinal one of three files downloaded when the program was purchased), or the update patches. Yes it was a TBYB version I purchased. Again, in the past when I had to uninstall & reinstall it allowed me to no problem, but now it is not asking for any activation code, serial number etc. When the program installs now it shows only as Videostudio 11- not Plus. I am getting the message "Installer cannot find Ulead Video Studio Plus ESD on your machine. Please install Video Studio 11 Plus ESD"
Well, the darn thing will not allow me to install the ESD patch (even though in past I did it no problem)
Any further suggestions would be appreciated.
