error using Ulead Dvd Player in MF3

I'm using the Ulead DVD Player that came with my MF3se. I place a movie dvd in it, and it comes up with the error no disk detected. Any ideas? The dvd works on stand alone dvd players, and every other disk that I put in can be seen by the drive, including data dvd's.
