I have some videos that had dead space on the original, so to capture it, I had to create two seperate .mpg files.
When I use DVD Movie Factory to "combine" the files into one, it double the amount of space used on the DVD. Is there anyway to avoid this? Because of this, I have two seperate chapters for what I would like to be one video....
Combining Video Size
Make sure that the properties cog at the bottom left of the screen shows exactly the same properties as your clips. But it has happened to me too, even though the properties were identical. My way around it was to not believe Ulead sizing and output the video to an ISO file where the size was correct. Then use Nero to burn the ISO to a DVD. I never let Ulead burn anything to a DVD it always has problems.

Yes
when you are creating the Disc, in the last step before burning the dvd, you select the option to Burn Image or Burn to DVD Folders on your hard drive (de-select the actual burn to disc). This will create the DVD on your hard drive (either the DVD Folders, or a dvd image file) which you can burn later and with other burning tools (although I've used the MovieFactory burning engine to burn my dvd's).
