Burning DVDs Using Ulead Movie Factory 4 Disk Creator

Post by nt88498 »

Can anyone tell me if it would be worth buying Ulead's Movie Factory 4 Disk Creator? I currently use VS9 and have not had a chance to play with the new disk creation settings or new motion menus but before VS9 came out I was planning on buying MF4. Anyone have any thoughts on the diferences between the two programs for burning DVDs.

I would still VS9 for creating my videos.

Hi, Susan,
If your purpose is to author DVD menu, I do not suggest you to buy DMF4.
I suggest you can download the try version to try the DMF4 function.

Hi Chyao,

Thanks for your input. Why specifically do you say not to buy MF4. Just curious, is it because there are not many differences between VS9 and MF4 in the burning/menu type settings since VS9 now has motion menus?

Please elaborate a little bit on your thoughts.

Thanks

I think a lot depends upon what you intend to do.

DVDMF4 is a great tool. I use it to rip CDs to MP3s for my minidisk, and it has good disc writing tools.

For me it was worth it.

Hi,

The only reason I use MF4 is that I now have more control over the thumbnails in a motion menu. For the rest I could have done it with the build in DVD authoring of VS9. BTW I did not need the "Disk Creator edition" of MF4, but just the normal edition to get the result I desired.
