DW2 Not Responding

Post by SPJ29 »

I have just re-installed all my programs on my PC and I have just started using DW2 again for the first time in about 3 years.

I think I have installed all the necessary patches but when I click on burn project to disc nothing happens and DW2 stops responding.

I think I need to empty the ulead temp files folder but I cannot remeber how to do this.

Can anyone please remind me how to clear the Ulead temp files.

Have you installed the burn patch?
Do you have something like nero or roxio installed, these can often interfere with WS burning.

Yes the CD/DVD Burning patch is installed.

Also I do have Roxio Easy CD Creator 5 installed but I have had them both working before. I will uninstall ECDC5 and if that works can anyone recommend a cheap CD/DVD ripping and burning software that wont conflict with DW2.

I have uninstalled Roxio Easy CD Creator and uninstalled DVD Workshop.

I then re-installed DW2 installed the patches and installed the DVD burning patch last.

DW2 works fine until I click on Burn project or Burn from Image then the program hangs and I have to shut down my pc.

PC Spec :

P4 2Ghz - 1GB RAM
250GB HD space
128mb Video Card
Windows XP Pro SP3

I have been looking through some old posts and discovered that there could be a conflict with Videostudio.

I have VideoStudio 10+ but I cant be sure if the problem occured after I removed VS9 and installed VS10.

Does anyone know of any conflicts between VS10 and DW2.

Another option is to use Workshop to "create DVD folders", or to create an ISO file, and then burn with Roxio.

I've got VS10 and Workshop installed on a Win2K system, and no burning problems.
