rwalker66,

It's obvious you did not capture this video using MF6+ because it's in TS (transport stream) format. Maybe you used another program to capture the video?
MF6+ will capture in PS (Program Stream) format so the video can be edited or quickly smart rendered.

Irregardless, your source video shows NO fielding at all.
HDV is standard UFF (Upper Field First).
All your other settings are correct.
I believe this is your problem.
With standard HDV Mpeg2 video (1440x1080 UFF CBR 25MBS) make sure to maintain the correct fielding, otherwise you will lose half of your vertical resolution along with the smoothness/fluid motion of the video.

When you import a HDV video into MF6+ and it doesn't display UFF (Upper Field First) then I wouldn't proceed any further (unless you intentionally de-interlaced the video).
Either the video was de-interlaced prior to importing it into MF6+ (because MF6+ shows no fielding information) or you have not installed the patches for MF6+.

After you correct your source video(s) here is a suggested setting for converting HDV -> DVD.

Under MF Preferences (F6 HotKey) make sure to select "BEST" as the sampling quality, the default is "GOOD"

Goto MF Project Settings under the "GEAR" Icon: GEAR -> Change Mpeg Settings -> Customize
Suggestions for High Quality DVD's made from HDV or AVCHD Source Videos :
Framesize = 720x480 (NTSC) / 720x576 (PAL)
FrameRate = 29.97 (NTSC) / 25 (PAL)
Fielding = Upper Field First
Aspect Ratio = 16:9
Compression/Quality = 100%
Video Bit Rate = Variable 9000kbs - 9500kbs
Audio = Dolby 5.1 @ 448kbs

NOTE: Some older dvd players may have problems playing back video encoded at high video bit rates, then try using a lower video bit rate.

I suggest to make a custom template under the template manager then apply this template to your project properties and/or use it to custom export your video directly from the time line to a new SD video file on your harddisk.

Also the Canon's can capture in various formats that get wrapped inside of an HDV signal (such as 24P).
So I would only record in standard HDV which is 1440x1080i ( interlaced NTSC-29.97fps / PAL 25fps ).

Hope this helps and solves your problem.
This is the important patch for MF6+ -
