DMF 4.0 has encountered a "problem" and needs to c

OK. I created a project today (.dwz). I imported clips from a dvd and edited some clips (added some text, cropped beginings and endings), created motion menus with background music and created a disc image file (.iso). I go to burn the disc image onto my media using the Burn Now 2.0. I burn the dvd, play it on a set top player and all's dandy. Now, I see something that I want to change and decide to edit the project when I get home from work. I close DMF. I come back 6 hours later to edit the project. I open my project and it loads to the add/edit media page per usual. I click the next button on the bottom of the screen so that I may edit one of the menus. Timer shows up and the now infamous, "DMF has encountered a problem and needs to close" message appears. I can't seem to do anything with this project now as I cannot get past the initial add/edit media page. :x Anyone else experience these crashes? I've had problems with this before and had to reinstall the program and/or start a project over from scratch. Is there something I need to know or am I doing something wrong? BTW I have a Pentium 4 3.0Ghz with 1.5 Gb of RAM, a x16 DVD-/+, -RW/+RW burner and about 40gb of HD space left. My system was spyware/addware/virus free and said apps were disabled while working on the project. I'm really starting to hate this product and I have yet to receive a tech support email from Ulead almost 2 weeks later. Thanks, Bingo

when you say you re-installed did you follow the steps from Ulead tech support (if not PM me your email address and I'll forward them to you). I had multiple crashes, some conflict with an old dmf3 install and the reinstall fixed those. However I still find it pretty buggy and lost over an hours worth of work last night due to various trivial bugs.

Guys, I know where you are coming from. I've had similar problems and my frustration has led me to the point of purchasing another hard drive and creating is as the primary boot. I then loaded only the minimal software required for windows plus the ULEAD products (movie factory, photo impact, video studio, photo explorer) and guess what..... still getting lockups. :x
