Recommeneded Compression for HDV?

Recommeneded Compression for HDV?
What is the recommended compression when making a DVD from an HDV source? I always thought higher compression would make a better picture, but I just made a DVD and put the compression at 94%. It looked terrible. There was "Mosquito noise", Blocking artifacts, and other types of noise. What are the recommended settings in preferences and the configure screens when you have an HDV source?
