YOUR DISPLAY ENVIRONMENT DOES NOT SUPPORT PROTECTED CONTENT

Post by tagteam3283 »

right boys n girls,

lets get down to the bottom of this.

i have seen this posted on this forum a few times and many times on the web. so let me pose the question: hopefully a mod or another used can help me out

What the hell is going on with this error?
YOUR DISPLAY ENVIRONMENT DOES NOT SUPPORT PROTECTED CONTENT

i have had a poineer BDC202 installed in my PC for over a year and could play BD using winDVD. this was using the exact same setup which i am using now:

XFX 880GTX with dual DVI
main to Dell e207wfp via DVI to DVI
extended desktop to sony 1080i LCD via DVI to HDMI

every bluray i have played fine about two months ago. so i just bought another 5 blurays and none of them would play, kepp getting this error.

so i tried one of the old bluray which used to play fine. now they dont work either!!! the only change i have made on this pc is updated the nvidia video card drivers.

i have tried lowering the resolutions, disconnecting the Dell, disconnecting the sony. i have updated the poineer firmware to latest and each time the same error.

when i run the tool to test, it fails on HDCP with the monitor!!! how is this when the same blurays were playing a few months back!!!! i have also tried a demo of the new v9 with patches and still the same error.

Corel, what have you changed??

answers please

surprise surprise,

i have reinstalled the OS(WinXP SP3) and hey presto, as if my magic, my devices are compliant.

same drivers, same hardware, same software--- it's working

So, Coral, please explain why i have had to spend my entire day reinstalling my PC to get this working again???????
