Songs in Menus

Post by JamesRoyal »

I recall when building DVD's the MP3 file I used for menu's played for as long as the song lasted. Now they only last about 30 secs. or less. What gives? I am using the new version too.

As far as I recall there has always been a 30 second limit.

I agree with Black Lab that at least from VS7 -- which is what I started with -- the menu music has always been limited to a maximum of 30 seconds.

I usually prepare a clip which either lasts the exact 30 seconds (using SmartSound, so that it has a start, a middle and an end), or else I edit a longer clip to have it fade out to end at approx. 29 seconds so that it is not suddenly cut-off in mid-flight as it were...!

The 30 seconds limit counts for moving menus. Not for static ones.
