Special effects program/plug-in?

Are there programs or plug-ins for VS that create special effects that can be used to enhance videos being edited within VS. For example if i want a flare or shooting star to suudenly zip out from one end of the screen to the other or maybe fireworks errupting over a scene. Which program can i use to create and import into VS and used (probably on video overlay track?)

But may I know which off those programs can be used for inserting video effects such as the ones I described above ?

I would think just about every one of them has a link to a website that describes what they do, and some may even have trial downloads.

I use Digital Juice for what you describe, but I can't speak for any other products that might be listed there.
