no sound on captured video from DVD

no sound on captured video from DVD

i installed VS10+ on my laptop(vista). my question is this. i can import video from a dvd, however there is no sound at all (playback, multi trim)

pls help. what could i do to remedy this problem

What sort of dvd is it? Home made? What sort of audio is it? Did you just import the file in? How?
Have you installed the updates to VS10 which I think it needs to be vista compatible?
Otherwise, Lot's use ac3 audio, do you have an ac3 decoder on your laptop?

the dvd i captured are recordings of games on tv using a panasonic dvd recorder. i succesfully capture the video, but alas, no audio whatsoever.

I would suggest in future you keep to one thread or the other. Otherwise you are going to create a lot of confusion as people answer one thread, and others answer another. Or like me, I was going to answer this one, having forgotten that I had already answered your other thread yesterday... :evil:
