I want to make this question quick, but I also want to give some background as to why I'm asking the question. So first the question, then for those who want to read on as to why you can do so.
My question is, what methods have people been using for dealing with curves in Paint Shop Pro?
In many books I'm told about the "S" curve, and I'm also told to just play around with it. But nothing substantial is ever mentioned. And so the actual power of curves is turned into a "If you're lucky enough to adjust it correctly" thing rather than truly displaying the power that curves offers.
So I want to know how many people deal with curves, because I'm planning a huge YouTube tutorial series on the essentials of Paint Shop Pro. And curves seem to be one of those "just play with it" things though in other packages like Photoshop there's a lot more you can do.
I've been using curves to get rid of color casts for a while now. (Yes I know there is a special function specifically for color casts) And it's sort of a long ridiculous process to get there. I first have to find the lightest and darkest points in the image (I use Threshold adjustment layers for this) and then I re-plot the maximum and minimum points for white and black according to these points. Really clears things up but it's kind of a hassle.
What do you use curves for?

Though not written specifically for PSP, I found this tutorial helpful...

While I don't have anything specific to add, I would like to see I hope to see more info on PSP soon. I recently bought 2 books on PSP and do some experimentation.... as I am fairly new to manipulating digital images, it is a steep learning "curve" (which I am enjoying!!
) Anyway, I would like to see some more interest in showing EXACTLY what PSP can do (such as what you are proposing.) Write a book... heck, I'll buy it!
