Finally got my first DVD burned from a Sanyo HD1000 camera that came with DVD Movie Factory 5.
The videos were shot with the lowest resolution 16:9 format (1280x720, 30fps). Each of the 4 clips were about 20 minutes long, and were all about 1gb - .mpeg4 files.
DVD MF5 took 24 hours to import and burn the disk. The videos were on an HP 500GB external drive (USB 2.0 connection), but there was little disk activity so I doubt it was I/O bound. The PC CPU speed is 2.13GHz, and it has 2GB of RAM. This was the only program running. The CPU was 100% loaded per Task Manager.
Is this performance typical? Are there enhancements in newer versions to justify upgrading?
MF 5 Performance?
