How to avoid the automatic title when creating a disc

Post by sharon »

VideoStudio Pro X2 running on Windows XP
Have finished the project and went to Share, Create Disc to record the project on to DVD.
Created the chapters and clicked on NEXT. This brings me to a title screen. I don't want a title from the gallery. How can I bypass this screen or choose not to have a title.
The first choice is highlighted and if I click on preview, it previews the video with that title choice.
Thanks for your help.

Hi Sharon,

With DVDs, a title is a movie clip, that can have several chapters. However I think what you want to do is not have a menu. To achieve that just uncheck the box beside the option Create Menu.

Thanks. That worked to omit the title page.
However, how can I add titles to the chapters that will show up on the screen when you first begin to play the video? I'd like for the viewer to be able to choose which chapter they want to watch.
As with most user manuals, I can't find anthing in this one either. :?:
Thanks.

Maybe this will help you understand the process:

Hi Sharon

For each video added to the burner module a title/link is added to the main menu page.

Each title can have ¡¥chapters added¡¦ creating additional sub-menu¡¦s
View the chapter pages/sub menu¡¦s by selecting the box below the preview screen.(currently displayed menu)

If you have the one main title and have added chapters then you can disable the first main menu. Select Advanced and uncheck Add Title Menu.
When you play the dvd the chapter menu/sub menu will show first.
Once you start play, the dvd will play to the end.

Ok
For each video added to the burner module a title/link is added to the main menu page. (do not add chapters)
When you play the dvd you can return to menu after playing any title.
The navigation controls can be set from the ¡¥Options Cogwheel¡¦ (Project Settings)lower left.
Please note these controls only effect the main menu page, not chapters.
