Selecting Your Region in VS Pro X2

Hello all,

I am a longtime PI and VS user who just registered with the Corel U-to-U Web Board and I am required to post one message within 24 hours, so please forgive me if this first question is rather frivolous.

When I recently installed VS Pro X2 on my PC, one of the steps which required input from me was selecting the region in which I live. The first area on the list was "United States", (which happened to be my region). However, the second area on the list was "Mohawk".

There's probably a very logical reason for that name appearing in the list that is escaping me, but (other than being a city in New York State), why would a VS Pro X2 user select "Mohawk" as their home region?

THANKS for indulging me.

I'll go away now,

Bob Bell

Never noticed it before.
Welcome to the User Board and I apologise for it being a tad slow at the moment, I have asked Corel to investigate the problem.

I've never noticed "Mohawk" as a choice, just NTSC at the top and United States on the bottom.. :o

"Tad Slow"... Whew, I'm glad it hasn't got to real, real slow. I think I could catch a plane, fly over to Ken's house (8,000 miles or 18 hrs), and respond personally, before the current web board speed posted my replies...

Hi

Do you have to pick an area/region or can you just select Pal or Ntsc

I always select both, (UK¡XPal) (but always wonder why I have to do that) (to be sure, to be sure)

Surly the program only needs to know Pal or Ntsc to set the default templates during install.

It is easier selecting PAL/NTC than selecting region.

badbi, I noticed your tag line beneath your signature - very true! Also the man behind the keyboard helps. It's not so much the hardware or software being used that makes good video, but the user of the tools.
