Cannot hide extension

Post by Wim Kok »

In making a slide-show in MF6, I would like to present the filename with "Edit subtitle". I can't hide the extension of the filename however.
In my pc extensions are never shown, but they suddenly pop-up here. Is this the standard way of MF? I could write a tiltle of course, but only the filename would do the job. Do I miss something? Any suggestion will be appreciated.

No, the extension is part of the filename. In Windows Explorer the settings in Tools>Folder Options>View are obviously set to Hide Extensions for Known file types. This affects Windows Explorer only, not applications.

Thanks Ron, you're right, extensions are hidden in Explorer.
Writing (a lot) of titles is obviously the only solution.
