VIDEOSTUDIO 11 & PSP x2 combo from costco called no help

Post by soph8 »

Hi I have tried before to get help. I have called corel, they said call costco online sofware dept. I did that. There was no SN for the Studio11 anywhere! No they say well buy another one! Is that crazy? If I'd known wouldn't have bought combo.
Can anyone help me? I have looked in the help docs and the help install area I have looked everywhere a SN would be embedded in the install. I have even checked the PSP txt files. NOthing. I have spent hrs at this. I am very disapointed.
Can someone help me?

Have you looked on the CD jacket? If that doesn't help return it to Costco, they have a good return policy.

There was nothing on jacket. There was on the X2. THis is very frustrating! I am very pc and software literate and haven't seen this before. I just thought there wasn't one needed. As there wasn't one in the DOC notes or anywhere else.

Have you tried checking the registry? Using Regedit, go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Ulead Systems\Ulead VideoStudio\11.0\Installer and look at the Serial Number entry. To its right should be the serial number for VS.

I can't install it at all with no SN. It won't even take me to the screen past this, I hit install and then starts then asks for SN. Without it is cancels and that is that.

At this point it appears that your only recourse is to return it to Cotsco..:(
